We like to hold an ANAD vigil where we invite a speaker to come speak to men and women on our campus from the Inner Door in Ann Arbor. After the presentation, all that attended are included in a form of yoga and are asked to let go and just listen to their bodies. Afterwards we all sit and discuss how the exercise made us feel and how we can help others.
The other event that we do for ANAD is Late Night. We have had it at Bailey's in Dearborn for the past few years but we are going to try out a new place this year for some excitement. We have dancing, raffles, and plenty of food for all of our company to enjoy.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
A nonprofit, donor-supported organization, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for CF. The Foundation funds lifesaving research and works to provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF.
Here at DPhiE we have held a few different events for CF. We have done a CF walk, Dodge CF(dodge-ball tournament), and this year we are hosted a new event CF carnival in our University Center. All of the money we raise from our events go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to further the drug research in order to expand the life expectancy beyond the current 30 years. |
